How to write about Architecture?

Geert Bekaert (1928) is the most prolific architecture critic and historian of the twentieth century in the Dutch speaking area. He is the author of more than 1300 texts – theoretical essays, monographs, editorials, reviews, film scripts and historical studies. At the end of 2011, an English anthology of his writings was published, entitled Rooted in the Real (Leuven: WSW, 2011). The editor of this volume, Christophe Van Gerrewey, will talk about Bekaert’s existential project: how can one write, for more than sixty years, both constantly and consistently about architecture?
